Excuse me

I’ve been hiding under a rock, so excuse me while I rant about the things that have been….

1. From MSN, “Neil Patrick Harris to father twins…” with MALE partner.
WTF!?! Doogie Howser is gay? When did that happen? Just when I was starting to like him for being funny, good looking, witty and a good singer, turns out he swings the other way?

2. Kris Aquino hurt over statement of mother-in-law.
Newsflash for Kris: Is there any mother who would actually want you as their daughter-in-law?

3. Conan O’Brien will have a new show on (US) cable.
I say unto you, vengeance shall be ours. Go Conan! Kick Leno’s unfunny ass.

4. Pres. Noynoy Aquino launches website.
What, he doesn’t have a lot of things on his plate already? Ridding the country of corruption and lessening the country’s debt not challenging enough?

5. Mary Janice Davidson kicks (Twilight’s and Sookie Stackhouse’s) ass.
I don’t know where I’ve been hiding before (Hello! Under a rock, remember?!), but I’ve never heard of Mary Janice Davidson until a few days ago. And I’ve devoured her Queen Betsy Series in just a matter of days. Love it! Can’t get enough of it!

Ready to move on

It’s really been a sort of sucky time at the office. Some staff members I just can’t stand, for some reason or another. I would think I was the problem if everybody else didn’t have a thing against them. But as it is, other people have a few not so nice words to say about them. Hence, the feeling.

Anyway, I’m ready to move on. I’m looking forward to a change in my career life. I’m looking over the fence and thinking of jumping over it. The grass doesn’t seem so much greener than the pasture I’ve found myself in but, at the very least, it’s a different field. I just think it’s time to move on, like I said. I just hope things turn out better after I’ve crossed over to the other side. Hopefully, it’s not the dark side I’m turning to… and I really do hope I get to cross to the other side without any problem.

The good, the bad and the stinky

The things I’ve learned so far from the past few months:

1. There are some people I just can’t stand.
No matter what I do or how hard I try, there are just some people I don’t think I can ever get along with. If I were to be sent to Hell, I imagine I’d be stuck in an island with people like them. I know they say it’s not good to burn bridges. I’ve learned that, but with some people, you just don’t want to cross the bridge.

2. People will annoy you just by existing.

3. If you can’t beat them, try exterminating them with your stench.
Lesson learned from annoying officemate. He stinks the h%ll out of the office. I suppose he knows it, I mean, how can he not? The moment one walks inside the office, he stench is the welcoming committee. Hello stinky! I suppose it’s his way of getting back at the people who’ve decided to band against him. Now, we’re all suffering from the consequences.

4. Favoritism is good…if you’re the one favored.
My husband’s niece just called me her favorite person in the world. It’s probably about the only thing that’s brightened me up this month, so far.

5. Enthusiasm is like a star.
It burns bright only for a certain period of time. After that, it just dies. Like my enthusiasm for this blog…
