I wasn’t too concerned, really, when I learned of Paula Abdul’s decision to leave idol. I mean, really, who cares? I don’t think she ever really gave a good and useful critique. It was almost like she went on the show always drunk. You just couldn’t understand what the heck she was talking about.
And then, there was Simon Cowell’s farewell season. That was the bummer. I really think American Idol became popular with the help of Cowell’s famous quips and quotes. He could really be sarcastic but you can tell that he knows what he’s talking about. He’s a producer, after all. Unlike Abdul who’s a…well, you know.
But now, ever Kara, who hasn’t been in the show for long, is saying goodbye as well. I wonder what’s going to happen to Idol. Could Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest keep it afloat? I guess it all boils down to who will be replacing the three leaving American Idol judges. I do hope they get really good ones and not three more like Paula Abdul.
